The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette is still months away from arriving at dealerships, yet sports car connoisseurs are already wondering about what the future may hold for the iconic Corvette brand name. For the most part, the 2014 Corvette’s design has been very well-received in terms of its design, and its powertrain and other internal details are all very promising – the 2014 ‘Vette has the makings of a big hit upon release inside and out. But what about the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette? What can buyers expect under the hood, what features or options will be made available and, more importantly, what will it look like? Hansen Art’s concept 2015 Corvette attempts to answer those questions and others.
The concept 2015 ‘Vette boasts of the usual Corvette design language, with a touch of the ZR1 added to it, resulting in a car that could sufficiently challenge sports car manufacturers like Lamborghini and Ferrari in the looks department. The concept comes with a striking set of chrome wheels and an aerodynamic appearance that satisfies probably the number one requirement Corvette fans have when considering a new model – the car must be a looker in every sense of the word.
Aside from appearance, Corvette owners seek power, and lots of it. The 6.2-liter, twin-turbo and supercharged LS7 V8 could be capable of at least 650 to 700 horsepower, though it’s hard to say this early how many horses will be found under the hood of the 2015 Chevy Corvette. Again, that should satisfy most, if not all Corvette aficionados. Pricing is another great unknown, but for the 2015 iteration, we can expect a car no cheaper than $100,000, or even $110,000.
